"Why are you looking for American food?"

This has been a crazy day of blessings!
I woke up late, which was great, cause I need sleep! The girl that the school set me up with has a friend who was also getting an international student today to show around, so we were all going to go the store together for things for our rooms. The other girl is from China, and turned out to be three girls. Anyway, while I was waiting, I was getting hungry, but I didn't really have enough time to go out and come back, and I didn't have anything but apples and water here. Well, Sarah, my buddy, showed up on her way to meet the other girls, with a box full of food and dishes for me! I couldn't believe it. She is such a blessing! She brought me butter, milk, bread, jam, cookies, and NUTELLA!! I love Nutella. It was great. She had also brought a crossant filled with chocolate. I'm beginning to realize there is chocolate in pretty much everything here. I'm not complaining.
So, later she picked me up and we all went down to the lake to have ice cream, then we walked around so the other girls could see the city. It was really like a little comedy show.
We went to the store and we were all getting dishes, towels, and soap, and were all obviously foreign. Of course people noticed us. A lady stopped our Germans and asked if we were students from out of the country moving in, and of course they said yes. Then the lady told them her daughter had just gotten married and had all of her old dishes and things from when she was studying, and she wanted to give them to us!
So, we were to meet this woman at his flat somewhere in like an hour to get these dishes and things. I was really nervous, cause I was thinking this was just like Taken, except with a little old lady and the promise of dishes, but no one else seemed to have that idea. So we show up, and there is a stack of beautiful dishes, a pile of silverware, a million mugs, and a toaster oven! By the way, I don't have an oven, and was looking at a toaster oven at the store, but decided against it for some reason. Maybe it was because God had one waiting for me at this lady's house. I don't even know this lady's name, and I couldn't even talk to her because she didn't speak English. All I could do was say thank you in German. I am definitely going to keep the mugs I got from her forever. She even gave me a little casserole dish for the toaster oven, and it's my favorite shade of blue.
So basically, this day has been a pile of blessings. We even found peanut butter at the store. :)
Thank you God, for kind people and also for Germans with their ice cream and chocolate.

So, now my little apartment is full of food, towels, dishes, and even a bath mat!

Gute Nacht!

Oh, by the way, the weather today is HOT. So, there ya go. Apparently its 70 right now. Maybe thats Celsius.
