Do you want me to take your picture with the goat?

Well, I have been very busy the past couple of days. My orientation started on Monday, and I feel like I have been going nonstop since then. I am so exhausted! Well first, it rained all night Friday, so when I woke up on Saturday it was so cold, and I needed to go get groceries. I walked to the bus stop freezing cold, and when I got into town I looked out at the lake and realized the rain had washed the fog away that always hides the mountains, and you could see them perfectly! It was amazing. So I walked along the lake to the grocery store. I even went back up in the tower thing to take some pictures.

On Sunday, I did nothing, because the busses only run every other hour, and I was tired.
Monday, I started orientation, and I went nonstop until 1:30am, then had to get up on Tuesday at 6:30 am, went nonstop again, and had to get up again this morning at 6:30.
I just got back in around 12am.
Today we had dinner with small groups. We were supposed to go to a location to have dinner, and then go to another location for desert, but no one explained a plan to us, so I was confused after the address I was supposed to go to changed three times. I ended up just going to a different group with some people here I know. Dinner was so great! We had a Swiss meal called raclette where you have this stove thing in the middle of the table, and you fill up individual pans with cheese, and veggies, and meat, and whatever you like, and you put it in the little oven and cook it. And you just do this over and over till you're full. I want it for my own.
So, now I am home, and I am going to bed. I have orientation things tomorrow, but I think I am going to skip them, or at least the morning things. I'm running out of steam. :)

So since I haven't been able to blog for the past couple of days, here at the pictures of the stuff I did:

Some kind of German car show...

 weißen Bier!
These goats live down the street. I pass them when I walk home from school.

"Do girls in America use an umbrella in the sun?"

Not too much going on this week...
I sat by the lake and read my book for two days in a row, and ended up with sunburn. The first day, I got a good tan, and was excited about it. I had worn a weird dress though, so it was a strange farmers tan. So, yesterday, I wanted to even it out. I put on a little camisole and went and sat with my feet in the water for hours. I didn't realize until it was too late that I had gone past tan and into the land of red. Oops. Then I accidentally got on the wrong bus and headed out into the country. Oops. I got off and went back the other way. I think where I sat and waiting 30 minutes for the next bus was just around the corner from my apartment. Oops.
Today, I desperately need to find somewhere to do laundry.
I'm just sitting at home, so I don't get more sunburn. I finished my book, so now I have to find something else to read. I hate finding new books. Boo.
Yesterday, I took a chance and went to a restaurant by myself. It turned out to be a Greek place, and I don't really like Greek food. I just ordered a salad, and it was really really good.
I really want to go back to the lake to read, but I don't want to get burnt on top of burnt on top of burnt. Sunscreen would be nice...

Well, I'm going to go find some lunch. Here's some pictures from yesterday:

My walk to the bus stop...

My new favorite spot to sit and read!

Gesundheit!

Not much to post for Monday...
I went out with the Chinese girls, and one of the German girls. We went down to the lake for a drink at night. I had my first real German beer! It's actually local here, it's called Seeradler. It was pretty good! The beer here, or at least that one, has very low alcohol content. I don't think they really drink to get drunk. Having a beer is the same as having soda in their eyes.
I also bought soda at the grocery store all by myself today. :) Oh, and I went to a cafe and ordered a croissant all by myself!
But really, thats about all that happened, other than me reading by the lake in the 90 degree weather.
Oh! I almost forgot! I bought a screen for my window at the store today!! I had to stick Velcro to the side of the window pane, on the inside. By the way, I live on the fourth floor, I am afraid of heights, and I was in a dress. I was too serious about getting that thing up to change my clothes. It took about 20 minutes of living on the edge, and I did it. I have a screen on one of my windows, so I can open it all the way and those little jerks can't come in my room and buzz around.

Well, thats all for now. Here are some picture I took while I was at the lake:
These little birds would not leave me alone, and they were really freaking me out.

This little dog owns the sea. He is not afraid, and he will lead his family to safety.

Tscuss!
